ABOUT

Lindsay Hayward is an international performer and playwright located in the DFW area. 


​      Hayward has appeared in more than eighty-five productions throughout the Metroplex as well as London's West End, Fairfield Hall's Ashcroft Theatre, and South Africa's Baxter Theatre. She can bee seen in spots for the University of Texas at Arlington, and Texas Pride Realty. Hayward's vocal stylings include traditional musical theatre, Texan swing, cabaret, and studio sessions with alternative bands, Indictor 101 and 32 Short. She is a registered talent with The Voices in Our Heads Audiobooks, an EMC candidate, as well as a member of StateraArts, and PAALS. 


As a Dramatists Guild member, Hayward’s written material has appeared with Kitchen Dog Theatre, Our Productions Theatre Co., Noveau 47 Theatre, Goat Song Theatre Collective, Echo Theatre, Buzz Theatre Group, Audacity Theatrelab, and Rover Dramawerks. She has devised pieces for Texas Woman’s University, and Crouch End Theatre.  She has also written for Theatre ITC's  Live Stream, and the web series, Isolation Station. Her morality farce, EAT CROW, won IMPRINT Theatreworks First Impressions Festival and Theatre on the Square’s New Works Contest in 2020. Her full-length, Petrichor, is slated to appear that the 2022 Women Playwrights International Conference, Montreal.


Awards include a DFW Critics Choice Award (Best Lead Actress), a TACA Award, The Guardian's Critic’s Choice (One to Watch), and several Column Awards. Hayward holds a MA in Theatre from Texas Women's University, a BFA in Musical Theatre/Acting from Texas Christian University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, UK.


She has studied with Andrew Jarvis (RSC: Shakespeare & Text), Amir Korangy (Theatre Arts Hollywood), Meredith Loft (Laban: Physical Theatre), Ian Goode (Polka Theatre: Improv), Uri Roodner (Clowning), Margaret Loft (Linklater: Voice), Shakespeare Dallas (Text & Fitzmaurice), and London's Pineapple Dance Studio. She also holds a BADC certification in Stage Combat.

 
Career highlights include working with Richard Martin (BBC, Doctor Who), performing at Lyric Theatre during London's West End Showcase Season, and accidentally spilling a drink on an Academy Award nominee onstage.
